What Markdown features are supported?

The tool supports standard Markdown syntax including headings, bold, italic, links, images, code blocks, lists, blockquotes, tables, and more. It renders your content accurately so you can verify formatting before using it elsewhere.

Which Markdown extensions are supported beyond CommonMark?

GFM via marked (tables, task lists, strikethrough, autolinks, fenced code), syntax highlighting via highlight.js for 20+ languages, KaTeX for math (inline $…$ and block $$…$$), ==highlight==, ~sub~ and ^sup^, footnotes [^1], and Mermaid diagrams in code blocks. HTML inside Markdown is preserved but sanitised against XSS.

Is the rendered HTML safe to paste elsewhere?

Mostly — the sanitiser strips <script>, <object>, <embed>, on* event handlers and javascript: / data: hrefs (except data:image), which covers the common XSS vectors. It is not a full DOMPurify equivalent though. If you're rendering untrusted Markdown server-side or pasting the output into a security-sensitive context, run it through a hardened sanitiser too.
